S2, Day ???. I had a feeling.

Goooood morning Chernarus!

Now, I'm not exactly sure why, but I had a sudden crave in the middle of the night to give the day another go before I wrap up. And I guess that totally paid off as it turned out to be quite interesting. I logged my character in and was greeted by a bit of a Kodak moment... And rampant gunfire.

Good morning Chernarus! BANGBANGBANGBANGBANG OH GOD.

Yeah. I was tempted to log off then and there. But you know, rather than having a blog of "Hey, my name is Vintovka and I run away from pretty much everything." I figured it was about time to spice some things up and take the initiative. Besides, I ended up learning a few things along the way.

I took my time as I went through the forest, keeping an eye downhill, where the gunshots were coming from and whether I would be risking myself to being shot if I continued on. In retrospect pretty much anything in this game risks you getting shot. But hey, that's what makes this game an interesting experience.

I wasn't exactly too far away from the 800M rock either, and since the gunfire was coming from the apartments south of me, I would probably get a good chance of seeing whats going on. It didn't take long to get set up and break out the popcorn.

And when I say Popcorn, I actually mean a Sniper Rifle.

Yeah. First glimpse through the usual shot-spots I saw plenty of carnage. Two individuals slumped over dead on the factory roof and a couple dead, non-zombie corpses strewn in the streets. Gunfire was really picking up then. I broke out the binoculars and took a quick peek around, there were a band of survivors that were lightly armed. A few shotguns, pistols. Nothing really extravagant. But they seemed to be in trouble. 

I did a quick scan over the area and had no trouble seeing an idiot running around with a machine gun and a ghillie suit. Its pretty safe to assume this guy is responsible for a large amount of the shots I've been hearing. That and he was blasting off rounds at the group I had spotted.

I figured I'd take this opportunity to deal with the fucker.

Welp, that was fun. But man, that guy could either take a lot of rounds, or this CZ550 rifle just really 'sucks'. It's probably because this is post-patch where a lot of the weapon damage values were decreased. But hey, I fucked him up enough to make him disappear into ALTF4 land. Tomorrow, I think I'm going to ditch the CZ and get that L85 going. Apparently its a hell of a killer in the game, and it'd be fun to see how well it works. And with that, I'll also be able to clear up a good deal of that backpack space I desperately need.

So, tomorrows plan goes as the following:

1.  Head North.

2.  Don't die.

3.  Find Stary Sobor.

4.  Don't die. 

5.  Loot Military camp for mags and food.

6.  Don't die.

9.  Steal underpants

10. ???

11. Don't die.

(Also, note that in the video my 'Stats' seem to have reset. I had logged into a server earlier that seemed to have reset my character. I relogged on another and found that I still had my stuff, except for my stats. I figure I had logged into a Non-Hive server or something. I don't know. There goes my stats :(.)
